Looking for a way to get involved? These are teams that focus on the development of specific skills and passions to serve a greater purpose. If you're looking to use skills that you already have or develop new ones, either way you qualify for any of these teams!
Our goal and mission is to reach out to the community on our campus. On Saturday mornings at 10am, we play basketball in the IWC. Outreach Team also does a variety of intramural sports throughout the year. If you are interested in taking common interests from students and using that to reach others at Winona State, then the Outreach Team is for you!
Chi Alpha International
Chi Alpha International’s goal is to reach international students on our campus. We encourage cross culture outreach and desire to see WSU Chi Alpha as a diverse community. Every week we host an event called XAi on Sunday afternoons from 2:30PM-3:30 in Maxwell 287. This event is an opportunity to create a community for international students to grow in Christ together.
Minions help through small acts, without the spotlight. We are God’s hands and feet, setting the stage for a deeper connection to Him. Throughout the week we help with cutting projects, hanging posters on campus and other "crafts", and on Thursday evening we help set up & tear down service. If you don't like being in front but like helping everything run smoothly each week, then the Minion Team is the team for you!
We work closely with the Service Team to bring you service projects and missions trips. This year we are going to South Dakota over spring break. We also work with Tony Gaselle and Tree Top Kids in the Forest Lake area and will be having a short trip coming up.
The Media Team does all kinds of things such as videography, photography, social media, and design to create visuals that are used all throughout Chi Alpha and Campus. We will teach you everything you need to know about the technology that we use. We use our gifts, talents and abilities to provide an opportunity for students to meet Jesus Christ in a personal and tangible manner.
The Student Center is a place where students can come and hang out, do homework and get free coffee. We are open Monday through Wednesday 4-10pm. Mondays we provide baked goods to start off your week right. Thursday mornings we also serve free coffee and hot chocolate at the gazebo or SLC Atrium to start student’s days off with a smile.
Do you love working for free? Do you like getting there early and staying there late? Do you like loading and unloading the truck before and after every Chi Alpha service on Thursdays? Do you like turning things off and on?
Each week we pack backpacks full of food for kids that come to school hungry after the weekends. Service team also serves the delicious food after Chi Alpha on Thursdays as well as many other service projects during the year.
We like to connect with others and make new students feel like part of the family. The team helps people get connected in small groups, and other Chi Alpha activities such as retreats and weekend events the moment they walk in the door at Chi Alpha!
Creative team is a place students can come and discover God-given talents, inspire others to be creative, and to transform the lens of God’s Word through skits, dances, spoken word, plays and more.
The purpose of the worship ministry is to support and live out the vision of Chi Alpha through following the leading of the Holy Spirit in contemporary worship. It is our job to lead others in a holy and righteous way on and off the platform, in the way we choose to worship and offer ourselves as a living sacrifice.
Come spend time in community every Tuesday and Wednesday morning from 7-7:40am at the Chi Alpha Student Center for community devotional time. Join us as we pray FOR our campus ON our campus! The University has provided us with a prayer room and our goal as Chi Alpha is to be praying every hour that Kryzsko is open. Join us in prayer in Room 108 in Kyrzsko or during pre-service prayer 6pm every Thursday in Somsen Auditorium.
